Join the procession which starts at Winkle Island at 10.30am, walks up the High Street (with a stop at the Stables Theatre in the Bourne to view the exhibition) and down All Saints Street, judging Best Dressed Window on the way, ending at Winkle Island for the Opening Ceremony at 12noon. Procession features: Hastings Corps of Drums, Coastal Twirlers, Mayor of Hastings, Hastings Town Crier, Carnival Queen & Princesses, Representatives of Old Hastings Preservation Society and many more

The 85 year old Hastings fishing boat, Edward and Mary, has just been restored by a local boatbuilder, thanks to a grant obtained by Hastings Council and the Fishermens Protection Society. The highlight of the week is the Grand Carnival Procession, organised by the Hastings Old Town Carnival Association.
Floats, fancy costumes, marching bands, majorettes and twirlers  the procession is just one moving party of fun!

Led by Hastings Carnival Queen and her Princesses it wends its way through the streets of the historic Old Town lined
 with thousands of people  all enjoying the happy atmosphere.

Followed by Grand Firework Display off the Castle courtesy of Hastings Borough Council and Renegade Pyrotechnics.
