Priory Knits knitted over 50 teddy bears for sick refugee children in hospitals as a result of the Kosovo war. Doctors have found that children who at least have their own teddies to cuddle recover more quickly than those who don't. The teddies, each with its own travelling bag, are a gift to the child to keep when they leave hospital.
Some of the Teddies are going to Albania with Sgt Anne Capon and clerk Pam Holland from Hastings Police Station and the Humanitarian Aid Convoy.
Priory Knits really DO knit
Priory Knits' newest recruit, Tim aged 9 at the time, has just finished the back and front of his first chunky jumper. The cut and sew neck came later.
