HAARG publications 1974 to present - The first Newsletter was numbered and dated No.1/74; some issues from No.2 onward contained articles as distinct from routine matters, and these have been indexed with the prefix N. From 1976 numbering ceased but month and year are quoted.
In 1979 the "Newsletter & Journal" began, initially with volume and part numbers and dates; later the series title was dropped. Two issues were undated. Separate Newsletters also continued but most issues no longer contained articles of permanent record.
In 1982 an additional series of special publications began, some undated, and the "Journal" ceased in 1987, when the Committee decided that future publications would be dedicated to a single topic and edited by the authors involved.
In 1995 the regular Journal was revived. It is kept
separate from the "Newsletter" which will appear from time to time announcing
meetings and excavations, etc.
