The local radio station, Arrow FM not only entered this float but broadcast the carnival live to the Hastings area on 107.8 fm

Perched on the Cliffs to the west of the Old Town, Hastings Castle looks down benignly on the carnival

The tower of St.Clements Church is seen above the houses and the Hastings Corps of Drums

Hastings Winkle Club, a long established Old Town Institution. (one of the buildings in the background used to be the Fisherman's Arms where the club was founded). Winston Churchill was a member.

Dusk is falling as the Carnival winds its way through the ancient, narrow High Street past the Old Town Hall (now the Old Town Museum). The Clock stopped a while ago, but it doesn't matter, occasiionally time stands still too in this part of Hastings

and for something completely different, Sara (right) and Lou are subjects of a hair raid to raise funds for the Linny Appeal part of the Macmillan Cancer Appeal

It'll only take a few years to grow again. Best wishes for the fundraising
