Hastings Old Town Carnival Away Visits 2009
Dover on Saturday, 4th.July. A very successful day The Court and crew won a total of 4 awards. The first prize with trophy for Queen of Queens, awarded to Hastings Queen Lara, was an outstanding success. Dover is, for COURT presentation, probably the best in the South East,so you can imagine that all awards are very highly acclaimed. |

Hailsham, June 27th. We had a super day; quite a small Carnival and our Court, diminished somewhat, won 1st. prize. Victoria Lavender deputised as Queen with Chaperones' children Essie and Alexandria. Due to technical difficulties there were no photographs. |
|
Lydd Club Gala Day First procession of the season. The weather was dry but a bit cool. Lara,Zoe and Victoria all said that they'd enjoyed their 'introduction' to Carnival parading and were looking forward to Dover on the 4th.July. Very well received by everybody, our Queen and Princesses looked absolutely stunning in their full Carnival regalia. |

Saturday, 16th.May AYLESHAM near Deal, in Kent. A closed coal mining community who hire/loan out their old club rooms for many events;nice large auditorium/dance floor usually with a vast stage...as you can see in the photos. |
|
The FICA 'do' is for Court and Committee 'crew', whereas other Town Carnivals only the Court should be 'judged' as you might say.
The court and crew at this event won 3rd.Prize for the fancy dress; Deal came first, and Folkestone 2nd. It was a close thing. |
